We’re proud to host an array of keynote speakers during our E3D Training + Technology Conference. In addition to Greg Mark of Markforged and Todd McLees of Pendio Group, we’ve added two extremely innovative and compelling leaders to our roster: Gian Paolo Bassi, CEO of Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS, and Michelle Bockman, Global Head of HP 3D Printing.

Gian Paolo Bassi of SOLIDWORKS

Gian Paolo Bassi

Gian Paolo Bassi brings more than 25 years of experience in 3D, CAD, and PLM industries to Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS Corp. As CEO, Gian Paolo spearheads the development of SOLIDWORKS future product and technology strategies designed for the desktop and the cloud, and leads continued collaboration with the strong user community.

He most recently served as the Vice President of Research and Development, where he was responsible for charting future product and technology strategies, including the development of the SOLIDWORKS cloud applications.

Prior to SOLIDWORKS, Gian Paolo was the Founder and CTO of RIWEBB where he oversaw the development of new technologies for the Mechanical and Architectural Design Automation industry.

Prior to RIWEBB, Gian Paolo served as Vice President and CTO of ImpactXoft, where he led the team developing functional modeling and collaboration applications. Gian Paolo holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bologna.

Michelle Bockman of HP 3D Printing

Michelle Bockman

Michelle Bockman is the Global Head of 3D Printing and Digital Manufacturing at HP, specializing in Automotive and high value 3D applications. Michelle has set up supply chains and led technical groups on feasibility, applications, and product marketing.

Michelle has built HP’s Automotive practice and driven transformative customer applications. Her vision to sync applications, materials, equipment and services drives HP’s strategy of digital industrial transformation.

Previously, Michelle had a long career at GE, most recently as Executive Vice President at GE Digital where she led the company’s ambitious strategy to build a software-driven digital future for large industrial customers; and furthered the establishment of GE Digital as a $15 billion stand-alone P&L.

With more than 20 years of digital industrial experience she has led a variety of functions in the healthcare, industrial cybersecurity, and pharmaceutical sectors spanning commercial, engineering, service, and supply chain roles. Michelle holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology.
