With SOLIDWORKS World 2018 just days away, the excitement is building at GSC! Twenty-two GSC staff members will make the journey to Los Angeles to network with you, our customers, and grow our skills to further our ability to fuel your success.

Not to mention, SOLIDWORKS World is the place to hear about the future of SOLIDWORKS, learn the latest information on the next release, and find out about new products. For some, it’s like Christmas all over again! If you can’t attend in-person watch our social accounts, Facebook and Twitter, for live updates and news. Also, you can feel like you’re there by watching the live stream of the General Sessions.  

Two GSC experts will also share their SOLIDWORKS knowledge with attendees as presenters for three sessions.

Jeff Setzer, Technology Evangelist

Jeff has a true passion for SOLIDWORKS that dates back to the software’s first release in 1995. He’s one of only 35 individuals that can claim he has attended every SOLIDWORKS World since the events’ inception in 1998. With that much knowledge and history using SOLIDWORKS, Jeff is sure to teach you something new during the two sessions he’ll be presenting at the conference:

Optimal Computer Systems for SOLIDWORKS

Date: Tuesday, February 6

Time: 2:45 – 3:45 p.m.

Session Description: Hardware and SOLIDWORKS® software are constantly changing. This session will discuss the very latest information, tips, and techniques for obtaining the best environment possible for your SOLIDWORKS users. Learn what to buy, what to do, and the reasons why.

Session Attendee Benefits: Attendees will learn to maximize their SOLIDWORKS performance. They will learn what is available, what works best, and what to avoid in computer hardware, operating systems, and networks.

Getting the Best Image and Video Output from SOLIDWORKS Composer

Date: Wednesday, February 7

Time: 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

Session Description: Are you new to SOLIDWORKS® Composer™? Have you been using it for a while, but your output isn’t where you want it to be? This session discusses some practical methods and tools that can help you get the most out of your SOLIDWORKS Composer projects.

Session Attendee Benefits: Attendees will learn tips and techniques for creating the best image output for their publishing situation including print, presentation, and web. Additionally, they will discover how to take SOLIDWORKS Composer animations to the next level by leveraging a post-processing video tool.

SOLIDWORKS Plastics: Your “Best Fit” tool for Injection Molding Simulation

Session Description: Learn how SOLIDWORKS customer “Plastics Components Inc.” leverages virtual data for optimizing plastic part design and manufacturability.
