DraftSight 2019 – New Features

DraftSight 2019, released March 18th, contains many new capabilities customers like you have requested, including full 3D DWG design capabilities, image vectorization technology (IVT), an integration with the 3DEXPERIENCE Marketplace, inter-operability with SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD and Simulation, and more.

Since its launch in 2010, DraftSight has served the 2D drafting and DWG design market enabling customers worldwide to maintain 2D legacy design data as well as support traditional 2D design workflows. The DraftSight product portfolio delivers the right amount of functionality for different needs. As such, the portfolio has evolved in the past few years to fulfill demands and our user base surpassed 2 million in 2018. To better align with the needs of users, SOLIDWORKS shifted their focus to the commercial DraftSight portfolio.

The demand for an innovative and evolving alternative to comparable DWG design solutions continues growing in our worldwide customer base. In fact, 30 percent of DraftSight users are currently SOLIDWORKS customers.
