National Engineer Week Spotlight – Alejandro Murillo

As an Applications Engineer at GSC, Alejandro Murillo is driven by his passion for technology and problem-solving. With extensive experience working with engineering software such as CAD and simulation tools, he has become an expert in helping clients find the right solutions for their needs.

Alejandro’s primary responsibility is to assist clients in finding solutions to their problems. Whether recommending the right software or providing training and support, he is dedicated to ensuring that clients are satisfied and their needs are met. He applies his skills and knowledge to various projects, utilizing his expertise to help customers achieve their goals.

From a young age, Alejandro has been fascinated by how things work. His childhood passion for taking things apart and putting them back together led him to develop a keen interest in the technology behind everyday objects. He stated, “I was always interested in how everything worked. I loved activities that involved building or breaking down objects. On top of that, I was always good at math, so engineering was very appealing to me.” This passion, coupled with his talent for math, drove him to pursue a degree in engineering, and he has been working in the field ever since.

Collaborating with a team of talented and dedicated engineers is one of the things that Alejandro loves most about his job. He describes his team as diverse individuals with various backgrounds and specialties. When a team member faces an unfamiliar topic, they can always rely on another team member’s expertise.

Your wife is always right. Even when she’s wrong.

If you could swap lives with anyone in the world for 24 hours, who would it be and why?

I would want to be a bird so that I can fly all over the world. I am a big nature guy, so I would love to see all of the beautiful scenery the Earth has to offer.

If you could time travel back to any decade, which one would you pick and why?

I would want to travel back to the Dinosaur Age to see Dinosaurs.
