GSC is elevating its education outreach program with the addition of two new summer courses – Camp 3D! and Teach 3D!.
Both courses will focus on developing an individual’s skills in SOLIDWORKS 3D engineering software, which has 3.25 million users in nearly 250,000 organizations worldwide.
Camp 3D! – Designed for Students in Grades 8-12
Camp 3D! is designed for students in grades 8-12 as an introduction to 3D modeling using SOLIDWORKS. This four-day “summer camp,” which will feature both classroom and hands-on instruction, is a great opportunity for teenagers to get an early start using this powerful 3D engineering software.
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to create parts, assemblies, and drawings in SOLIDWORKS. Students will also complete the Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) practice test in preparation for taking the actual test on their own, if they so choose. The CSWA certification proves an individual’s SOLIDWORKS expertise with cutting-edge skills that businesses seek out and reward.
Camp 3D! is priced affordably at $75 and includes lunch each day. Sessions will be held:
- Germantown, WI
8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. | July 24-25 & July 31-Aug. 1 > Register Online
- Oakbrook Terrace, IL
8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. | July 31-Aug. 1 & Aug. 7-8 > Register Online
Teach 3D! – Designed for Anyone Who Teaches SOLIDWORKS
Teach 3D! is an opportunity for middle school, high school, university, and technical college instructors to learn more about SOLIDWORKS and associated products. This two-day conference will give teachers hands-on time with SOLIDWORKS and will include opportunities to learn about the latest in 3D printing and additive manufacturing techniques. There will also be tips to help teachers keep everything running smoothly in their classrooms, as well as opportunities to network with other attendees.
The event, which will be held on August 3-4 at the GSC Technology Center in Germantown, WI, is $195 and includes breakfast and lunch on each day.
